Immersed in a rugged, wild natural environment, brought alive in spring by the flowering of the peony and softened by the intense scents of rosemary and thyme, Hotel Gorropu (before Hotel Silana), 1000 metres above sea level, is a true window from where you can admire the five Supramontes (Urzulei, Baunei, Orgosolo, Dorgali and Oliena).
Its strategic position makes it unique, establishing it as a popular destination for walking enthusiasts as well as an ideal starting point for excursions and caving expeditions in the beautiful caves in Supramonte.
From the large dining room, you can look out over endless limestone mountains and dense woods, with the most beautiful views of the famous Gorropu gorge (the deepest canyon in Europe with cliff sides more than 450 metres high) and of the Codula di Luna (a privileged access to the famous scenic Cala Luna).
In the Hotel Gorropu restaurant, which is also open to the public, it is possible to enjoy typical dishes of the local cuisine, made from traditional authentic recipes.
The Hotel Gorropu has 36 rooms equipped with all the comforts you need, furnished in a simple and traditional way according to the Sardinian style.

Hotel Silana is located in Urzulei, in locality Ghenn'e Silana, at km 183 of the S.S. 125.
From Alghero, Porto Torres, Olbia, Nuoro follow the signs that lead to Dorgali; then continue on the SS 125 on the scenic road where you can admire the Gorge of Gorroppu.
From Cagliari, Arbatax, Tortolì reach Lotzorai and continue onto SP 56 to Urzulei and Talana.

Child Policy
Children reductions when sharing the room with two adults:
- Children from 0 to 3 years sharing the bed with parents: free of charge, meals on consumption;
- Children from 0 to 3 years in baby cot: Euro 15,00 per day (on request, to settle on property);
- Children from 4 to 9 years: Euro 20,00 per day with Breakfast; 30% reduction on adult rate with Half board and Full board.
Cancellation Policy
In case of cancellation and change of the reservation, the following penalties will apply:
- Cancellations and changes until 3 days before the arrival date: no penalty;
- Cancellations and changes from 2 days to 06.00 p.m. of 1 day before the arrival date: penalty equal to the price of the first night;
- Cancellations and changes after 06.00 p.m. of 1 day before until 0 days before the arrival date, no-show and early departures: 100% penalty.
